What is a PNG Transparent Background Stripper?
This tool turns a solid background colour into transparency. It starts from the edges of the image and removes connected pixels that are close to the background colour, with a soft edge so outlines stay smooth. It works well for logos, icons, signatures and product shots on plain backgrounds. It is not an AI cut-out tool, so busy photo backgrounds will not be removed cleanly.

How to use this PNG Transparent Background Stripper
Upload your image. The background colour is guessed from the top-left corner.
If the guess is wrong, click the background in the preview or use the colour picker.
Raise the tolerance until the background disappears, and lower it if parts of the subject vanish.
Turn off "Only background touching the edges" to also clear enclosed areas, such as the inside of letters. Then download the PNG.

Q:Why are there white edges around my logo?
Those pixels are blended between the logo and the background. Raise the tolerance slightly to clear them.
Q:Can it remove the background from a photo of a person?
Only if the background is a fairly even colour, like a studio backdrop. Complex scenes need an AI background remover.
Q:Why is the output PNG?
JPG cannot store transparency. PNG keeps the transparent areas and is supported everywhere.
